From the News Room

• Progress is being made on the new track but there is still a lot to be done!  Mike Martin, Steve Duggan, Wade Wilson and Robert Kennedy are knocking down the weeds so we can get it cleaned up to start trenching for drain lines, water lines and electrical lines.  Do you know someone willing to donate construction materials?  We are in need of the following items:

• 2,4 & 6 inch PVC (schedule 40)
• drain rock
• concrete 
• 1 inch electrical conduit
• lumber - 2x4, 2x6 and 2x8, plywood
• electrical wire

• SDBMX is always looking for people to help with racing...track spotters and stagers are always needed. SDBMX is run by the families that race here and all of them are volunteers. If you would like to get involved we would love to have you! Please see your friendly registration personnel for information on how you can help out!

• New riders get their first race free. If you are new to the sport, come out to Silver Dollar BMX and get a free 1 day membership plus your first race free.

• Got some trophies collecting dust? SDBMX will buy them back from you. Bring us your useable old trophies and for each one we accept we will give you a track buck good at both the snack bar and for race fees.

• Are you looking for some extra training and conditioning? If you are an intermediate or expert rider and need some extra track time then come out on Monday nights at 6pm for training with Jake Peebles – the cost is $10 but the workout is priceless! Spots are limited so check with Pete Wiik (SDBMX president) for availability.

• As a reminder, SDBMX is not a public facility (we are a part of the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds) so we cannot allow riders on the track without a practice sticker in order to comply with our insurance requirements.
